At the southern end of the center of Padron we will find a square with a plateresque cross monument of Fondo de Vila.

Donated by John Loreda in the fifteenth century, contained therein are allegorical representations such as skulls, tibias, salamanders and other animals, as well as the representation of St. John and the Apostle in the shaft. One side of the cross shows Jesus crucified and on the other is the Descent.

It is important to mention that this stone cross was celebrated by the author Alfonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao ,a neighbor from Rianxo which is a villa closely linked to Padron.
